Essence have provided a meal service at one of our Extra Care schemes for the last 3 years, with meals prepared fresh on a daily basis – which are of the highest quality. The staff are friendly, accommodating and cannot do enough to meet our resident’s needs. At a recent meeting residents described the meals provided as ‘first class’ and the chef ‘excellent’!

We have been impressed by the way that Essence have worked with our residents, carrying out individual meetings with each to ascertain their individual dietary requirements, in order to deliver the highest quality service and the ad-hoc service they provide at special times throughout the year, which our residents absolutely love!

They have understood our business needs and have been flexible in their approach, adapting and changing to our catering needs and requirements. At the same time they have set out a proactive programme for improving the quality of patient meals and busy café fare. They have enthused the team on site ensuring that both the catering team and volunteers work together for the betterment of our patients and café customers.”
