We are pleased to announce that abm catering have once again successfully passed our ISO 14001 audit, retaining our Environmental Management Accreditation.
ISO 14001 is an internationally recognised standard for the environmental management of businesses; recommending controls for activities that have an effect on the environment. These include the use of natural resources, handling and treatment or waste, and energy consumption.
At abm, we believe this accreditation sits hand-in-hand with our commitment to promoting and encouraging good environmental practices. An accreditation of this standard helps us to reduce our environmental impact, which we are positive will continue to have a fantastic influence on both our own and our clients’ business.
We asked Neil Floyd, Group Finance Director for abm catering limited, what this means for the business he said: “We are delighted to retain our ISO 14001 Environmental Management Accreditation, which demonstrates the continued importance and focus that abm places on being a responsible, environmentally aware business. It demonstrates to our clients that we are not just passionate about providing exceptional food, exceptional service and exceptional people, we are also proud to do so in an environmentally responsible and sustainable way.”
abm are already incredibly proud that we have a clear focus on corporate responsibility and environmental sustainability and we work with all of our clients to ensure the same on their sites. It is increasingly common that our current and potential clients require environmental responsibility as an essential part of the way we operate our business. Our Environmental Management System, retained from successfully passing our ISO 14001 audit, assesses our carbon footprint and identifies the measures we have to take as a business to continue to reduce it.
